Academic and Special Prizes

The Academic, Co-Curricular and Sporting achievements of the Mayoorites are honoured annually through a number of academic and special prizes. The majority of these awards are presented to the meritorious students during the annual Prize Giving function. Merit-based Scholarships and Scholarships for demonstrating excellence in Co-Curricular activities and Games and Sports are also awarded during the ceremony.

  • Academic Prizes

Academic prizes are presented to the meritorious students of Classes VI-XII every year at the Prize Giving Ceremony. The award is presented to the student demonstrating the best academic performance amongst all students during the year in a particular grade. Also, the prize is presented to the students receiving highest scores in the individual subjects taught in respective grades.

The award is presented to students from grade VI, VII, VIII, IX, XI Science, XI Commerce, XI Humanities, XII Science (Criteria includes English + Four Best Subjects).

The Merit-based scholarships awarded are Mayoor School Scholarship for Class X and Mayoor School Academic Scholarship for Achieving 90% or above marks in XII Science/ Commerce/ Humanities Exams.

  1. Late Shri Ugrasen & Kamlesh Garg Memorial Medal for the Most Outstanding Girl in Academics in the Senior Section.
  2. Santha Medal for Excellence in Academics in Board Exams presented by Thakur Umaid Singh of Santha.
  3. Late Shri Radhey Shyam Porwal Memorial Medal for having topped the XII Commerce Board Exam.
  • Best All Rounder in Primary, Middle and Senior Section

The award is presented to a boy and a girl, who demonstrate excellent performance in the academics, games and co-curricular activities round the year, from the primary, middle and senior sections respectively. The medals and prizes in this category comprise the following:

  1. Late Khusroo Allahrakha prize for the Best All-Rounder in Primary Section (A boy and a girl).
  2. Shri Danmal Mathur Medal For the Best All Rounder in Secondary Section (Girl).
  3. Shri Danmal Mathur Medal For the Best All Rounder in Secondary Section (Boy).
  4. Late Amay Hatuka Medal for the Best All-Rounder in Middle Section (Girl).
  5. Late Amay Hatuka Medal for the Best All-Rounder in Middle Section (Boy).
  6. Maharana of Mewar Medal for the Best All-Rounder in Senior Section (Girl).
  7. Maharana of Mewar Medal for the Best All-Rounder in Senior Section (Boy).
  • Medals and Scholarships for outstanding performance in Co-Curricular Activities

Medals and Scholarship are awarded to students performing outstandingly in co-curricular activities featured in the fields of Performing and Visual Arts, Dramatics, Debate and Computer Applications. The medals and scholarships in this category include:

  • Prizes for the Best House in various categories and the Kotah Shield for the Best Overall House.

Through the year, various inter-house events infuse a sense of healthy competition amongst the students. The performance of each house in the various Co-Curricular and Sporting competitions is commendable; yet the houses adjudged the best in CCA, Sports, Academics and Information Technology respectively are presented an award at the Prize Giving Function. Furthermore, the House showing the best performance out of all the four houses is declared the Best Overall House and awarded the Kotah Shield. The shields, Trophies and Cups that are awarded to the houses include:

  1. Toshniwal Shield for the Best House in I.T. presented by Mr. Ravi Toshniwal.
  2. Badnor Cup for the Best House in Athletics presented by Thakur Raghuraj Singh of Badnore.
  3. Thakur Devi Singh of Mandawa Memorial Trophy for the Best House in Games presented by Thakur Kesri Singh, Thakur Randhir Vikram Singh and Thakur Praduman Singh of Mandawa.
  4. Kishangarh Trophy for Inter-House Co-Curricular Activities presented by H.H. Maharaja Brajraj Singh of Kishangarh.
  5. The Marwar Trophy for the Best House in Academics presented by H.H. Maharaja Gaj Singh of Jodhpur.
  6. The Late Maharaj Chandravir Singh of Jaisalmer Shield for the Best House in Indian Music presented by Rani Renuka Chandravir Singh Bhati of Jaisalmer.
  7. MCGC Trophy for the Overall Best House in Music.
  8. The Kotah Shield for the Best Overall House presented by H.H. Maharao Brijraj Singh of Kotah.
  9. Thakur Manvendra Singh Rohet Memorial Trophy for the Best House in Cricket presented by Thakur Sidharth Singh of Rohet.
  10. Inter House Cross Country Cup presented by Dr. Ravi Rajput in Memory of his Grandfather Late Shri Bhagwan Das Rajput.
  11. Inter House Swimming Trophy presented by Shri V. P. Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT of Chandigarh.
