Mayoor School, Ajmer has
its Grievance Redressal System at various levels under the direct supervision
of the Principal.
Anyone with a genuine
grievance may approach the Class Teacher of the student first.
If the grievance is not
satisfactorily addressed then the Co-ordinator of the concerned Class may be
approached.
The subsequent levels
include the Head Primary for the Primary Section and the Head of Academics for
the Senior Section of the School and finally the Vice Principal and the
Principal.
In case the person is
unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be given in writing during PTMs
(Parent-Teacher Meetings) in the grievance / suggestion register for parents
kept at the entrance of the Academic Blocks of both the Primary and the Senior
Schools.
Grievance or
Suggestion may also be dropped in writing by the student in the Suggestion
Boxes placed in the Academic Blocks of both the Primary and the Senior Schools.
Objectives:
The objective of the
Grievance Redressal System is:
· To develop a responsible and accountable attitude among all the
stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the
School.
· To uphold the dignity of the School by ensuring strife free
atmosphere in the School through promoting cordial Student-Student and
Student-Teacher relationship.
· To encourage the Students to express their grievances /
problems freely and frankly, without any fear of being victimized.
Suggestion / Complaint
Box is placed in the Academic Blocks in which the students, who wish to remain
anonymous may put in writing their grievances and their suggestions for
improving the Academics / Administration in the School.
The students are the
main stakeholders in any institution imparting education, and it’s our
endeavour to make all efforts to ensure transparency in all the activities at
different stages. Keeping this spirit in mind the School has put in place
a set mechanism for students for redressal of their grievances as under:
The Grievances may
broadly include the following complaints of the aggrieved students.
a. Academic
b.
Non-Academic
c. Grievance
related to Assessment
d. Grievance
related to Victimization
e. Grievance
related to Attendance
f.
Grievance regarding conducting of Examinations
Any grievance /
complaint relating to sexual harassment will not be covered under these rules
as there is separate mechanism for addressing such matters by Committee Against
Sexual Harassment.
It is good to air a
grievance rather than to keep it bottled up.
The students may feel
free to put up a grievance verbally or in writing/or drop it in boxes.
The Grievance Committee
will act upon such cases which have been forwarded along with the necessary
documents.
The Grievance Committee
will assure that the grievance has been properly resolved in a stipulated time
limit.
Responsibility for
Redressal:
· The final responsibility for grievance redressal rests with the
Principal of the School.
· The school expects that grievance redressal be time bound and
result oriented. Every grievance is expected to be resolved within a reasonable
period of not more than a month and a half.
· The Grievance Redressal Committee of the School shall monitor
status and progress of grievance redressal and shall furnish report on
grievance redressal to the Principal of the School.
· In case of any grievance, the members of the committee are
empowered to sort out the problems at their level through discussion with
students.
· In case the members fail to find out any solution then the matter
is referred to the Principal / Chairman for final resolution of the matter
raised.
Considering the nature and depth of the grievances due inquiry is made by the members of the committee and through personal discussion the matter is solved.
The Principal is available to meet the Parents on every working Monday between 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The Principal is also available to meet the Parents during all PTMs.
