The International Peace
Day was observed on 21st September 2016 and celebrated by the children of Classes
Nursery to II. They were all dressed in white, a symbol of peace and
tranquility. The teachers explained to tiny tots the importance of the day and
the philosophy of Pacifism. The children
discovered the relevance of the day and the social message therein through the enactment of short
skits. They sang in
unison ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’- the music
serenading down the corridors. The children were also taught how to make a Dove,
symbol of peace. They were also assigned a worksheet to familiarize them with
the International Peace Day.
