Arrival of gap year students from Bedales High School, The U.K.

As a part of internationalism at Mayoor School , Ajmer internship opportunities are provided to gap-year students from the U.K. Under the internship programme, two gap year students from Bedales  High School, Hampshire- Struan Tait & Lydia Hallam have arrived in Ajmer on Saturday, September 24, 2016. They will be hosted by the school until the end of December 2016. 

As a part of their internship, they will be involved in teaching, co-curricular activities and games and sports.

Struan will teach General Science to the students of V & VI ,Maths to  class IX(IGCSE) students & will take PE lessons for the classes VI & VIII. He will also be a part of the Math club.

Lydia will teach English to the students of V & VI & and will take PE lessons of the primary section. She will be a part of the Dramatics club.


About Mr. Struan

He has completed GCEs from Bedales High School, Hampshire in 2014-16 with the subjects English Literature(B) , Mathematics(C) & Biology(C). He is an active sportsperson & was a part of the school rugby & cricket team. He also served as a councillor during his high school days.

During his internship at Bulb Energy, London he worked as an assistant to Co-founder- Hayden Wood, Director of Communications- Matthew Bethell and Head of Community-Will Hull. During his internship period he performed internet research, wrote community blog posts, wrote company Wikipedia page. 

He aspires to complete his under graduation degree in the field of Marine Biology. His interests include nurturing the young minds both in terms of education & sports.


About Ms. Lydia

She has completed  A level in Philosophy and Ethics(A), Drama(B), English(C). She has cleared level 7 under the devised performance category from Trinity College, London.

She went to Swaziland on a project through Bedales where she spent a week working at a local primary school installing a water system, enabling the school to have running water for the first time. She has also been a part of member of Chichester Festival Youth Theatre for 5 years, which show her keen interest in the field of art & drama.
