Camaraderie Over Competition

The fifth edition of the Mayoor Mahotsav held on Friday,14 August brought together students from five of the seven Mayoor Collaboration Schools from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jalandhar, Noida and Siliguri, for a day that celebrated something far more enduring than competition - 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒋𝒐𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓!

Welcoming the participating teams, the Principal expressed happiness that through such events, the School offers children a platform to grow beyond the walls of conventional education and added that the most meaningful stories aren’t always written on the scoreboard. They unfold on the sidelines, in the moments between events.

Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Mr. Saurav Sinha, Principal, Mayo College spoke of the prejudices we carry without realising it and the discipline it takes to see past them. “Stay curious,” he told the students, calling curiosity the opposite of arrogance. He also warned against letting technology quietly replace the business of actually connecting and being present.

Out of the seven events that were carefully curated to ensure that the Mahotsav remained as much about enjoyment and participation as it was about competition, the School emerged victorious in five, claiming the Rolling Trophy, but in the true spirit of the Mahotsav, graciously passed it on to the Runner-up team from Mayoor School, Noida amid cheers and applause.
